Advanced Chemical Detection

SpectraFluidics delivers ultra trace sensitivity and molecular specificity of vapor-phase analytes, realtime, insitu.

The microfluidic chip includes free-surface microfluidic channels, proprietary on-board sensing elements & flow controllers.

The microfluidic chip is interrogated using a proprietary Raman spectrometer to obtain high-sensitivity detection of various analytes that are relevant to homeland security. An example of these spectra are shown in the above figure. The spectra give a finger print molecules present in the head-space surrounding the microfluidic chip.

Chemometrics algorithms are used to decompose the Raman spectra and identify specific chemicals that are detected by the sensor to obtain high specificity. For example, the figure above shows a clear distinction between 2,4-DNT measurements, and measurements that are not DNT.Proprietary Raman Spectrometer
